Last day on the road

Finally back to the city and it feels so good!! The first thing we did as soon as we got to LA was a mandatory burger stop at In N Out of course! It was such a long day, we did a long drive to get to Los Angeles. Early this morning we went to the ghost town called Calico. It was charming and really looked like the tv show Little house on the prairie. We did the right thing to go early because when we left, we saw that a lot of buses full of tourists have arrived!! Tonight to celebrate our city life back we went for a drink at the Persh rooftop. Was pretty cool, with good cocktails, and great view. I found the place pretty quiet for a Sunday night, that’s surprised me a little bit. I also wanted to order sushis but every place was about to close and it was only 10.30. I guess NYC makes every other city a little bit boring for me … I’m really stressed …

Grand Canyon

Okay, as you can see on my pictures I look super tired, I can’t even hide my rings anymore… This trip is beyond exhausting, we definitely need vacation to recover from this one ha-ha Anyway, today we did about 5 hours drive (again) and we made different stops. First we visited the Grand Canyon, which is definitely the most touristic park I have ever seen! There were too many people, it took us a long time to find a parking spot, the view point was crowded, you need to do a line to take pictures.  Hopefully we found an empty place to take our pictures, of course, before someone found out our secret place and wait for a turn on the rock ahah. For us it was a very quick stop at Grand Canyon even if it’s really pretty and amazing I think we started to be a little bit done with it. After we had another stop at Oatman, which is a city (more a street) lost in the middle of the famous 66 …

Monument Valley

We are almost done with our road trip, and I am pretty happy about that. It’s a really tough one, we already did 1200 miles, changed 5 times of hotels, so many times hours (one hour difference between Utah and Arizona), had a lot of cheat meals and days spent walking around by 100F just kill us. Nevertheless this trip is amazing and I really love it, but I miss the city, the rooftop and fancy restaurant a little bit. I think my time in the nature is up  ha-ha The best part for me, is to be here with my best friend, we enjoy every single second of it together. Today we had a really typical breakfast in a dinner, it was really cool to show my friend my usual poached eggs, bacon and potatoes I take every week end since I live in the US. After we went to Monument Valley, it’s really beautiful but seems like it’s the most touristic canyon so far. We didn’t stay long because we had a lot of road to …

Horseshoe bend, Antelope and Lake Powell

We started our day with a tour in the Lower Antelope Canyon, we took the 11 am one because it was supposed to be the greatest light at this time. But we got a cloudy sky so whatever the time, the light was not that good. I was really disappointed with this tour, first because it was crowded and second, because there was a lot of wait outside where it was super hot. Once in the canyon the guide was really rude and told us ‘’keep going, keep going’’, as we were in a rush. There was so many people inside, making really difficult to shot without having any person in our pictures. We didn’t have the time to appreciate the moment or to take good pictures. After this messy morning where we didn’t enjoy anything, we went to Horseshoe bend and it was really amazing!! One of my favorite ahaha After we went to the Lake Powell, I thought we could swim there, but actually the water was pretty murky so I passed my …

Bryce Canyon

We began our day with the step number two, at Bryce Canyon. This time we planed a little bit before going there, so first we stoped for different view point and then we went for a 2 hours walk / hike. It was really breathtaking, the Navajo tool trail (Sunset point stop) is the favorite walk I have ever done. It’s definitely something everyone have to see once in his life. It was really different from Zion park and now I think I prefer Bryce Canyon ahaha Let’s see if tomorrow I will find a new favorite one… Right now we are stuck in the traffic, with heavy rain all the roads are flooded. For once we wanted to go home early … But I think I will found a solution soon to get out of here, because I already beat all the snapchat filter and did a 6 minutes story, so I don’t have anything else to do! C’est parti pour la deuxième étape de notre road trip, Bryce Canyon. Cette fois si, nous …
