First night in Austin

For our first night we planed to see the sunset at Mt Bonnell and then go out for dinner in a barbecue place. But nothing happened like we planned, first because we spent almost 3 hours in our hotel room, telling the gossip, washing and blowing our hair, watching Harry Potter, steaming my clothes and trying them all one by one … Of course we arrived 4 minutes after the sun went down, but the view was very great up there, so we didn’t go for anything. After we found out that all the best barbecues were closed this night because of the memorial day, we decided to go buy some essentials (insecticide, sun cream…) at Walmart. Then we went to kill some In N Out (very good burger place), after the dinner we went to the famous 6 th avenue, a lot of people told me it was the place to be at night in Austin but To be honest I  didn’t like it, to much tourists, loud music, crowded street… It’s not what …

Jacob’s well

Jacob’s well is a river somewhere between San Antonio and Austin. It’s a sanctuary, where we found a river with a hole underwater, (cave descends vertically for about 30 feet) followed by a series of silt chambers separated by narrow restrictions, finally reaching an average depth of 120 feet. It really made me think about the Mexican Cenotes, and like there I wanted to jump in the water from the top of the rock. But actually once I was there I was really impressed by the smallness of the jumping area, you better aiming properly. So I decided to do a baby jump instead of getting hurt with an amazing big jump, it was so much fun to be there and relaxing in the fresh water, we also made new friends who really supported me during my long way to the jumping rock, I’m such a drama queen sometimes haha.
