2016 HIGHLIGHTS – PART 1

Better late than never, this is a post about my 2016 highlights. Since I am a little girl I love to do lists. One where I write down my goals for the year coming and one other where I write what I accomplished during the  past year. And every end of the year I love to compare both lists. Every time I can see, how much we can not plan anything about our life hahaha But sometimes is for the best, I remember, beginning of 2014 I wasn’t even thinking about how my life will turn. Beginning of august I left France for USA and it has completely changed my life forever. So, never give up on your dreams guys, sometimes it works out pretty well. Hehe, here it is!! That’s my best memories from 2016 part 1!! Mieux vaut tard que jamais, voici un article sur les meilleures moments qui ont marqué mon année 2016. Depuis que je suis toute petite je me rappelle faire deux listes. Une ou j’écris mes buts à atteindre …

Italian dinner in Darling Harbour

Tonight we went to a really good Italian restaurant in Darling Harbour, named Critini, they serve an incredible 3 meter pizza, yes 3 meters, so two times my height (almost I am actually 5’4), that’s a real entertainment when you see four waiters hold the big board and try to manage across the restaurant. We wanted to eat outside to enjoy the harbor’s view  and the Ferris wheel, at the beginning I was a little bit cold. but the two glasses of champagne warmed me up very fast. We ordered a half meter pizza with many different toppings, prosciutto, smoked ham, salame, artichoke, mushrooms and tones of mozzarella cheese. Our pizza was really tasty, so we decided to try some dessert, we took a sample plate with little different sweetness like Nutella donut, ricotta cannoli, tartufini, vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Another great night in Sydney, few more coming…. Ce soir nous sommes allés diner chez Crinini, un très bon restaurant Italien au bord de l’eau à Darling Harbor qui vaut vraiment le détour. Premièrement pour …

First night in Austin

For our first night we planed to see the sunset at Mt Bonnell and then go out for dinner in a barbecue place. But nothing happened like we planned, first because we spent almost 3 hours in our hotel room, telling the gossip, washing and blowing our hair, watching Harry Potter, steaming my clothes and trying them all one by one … Of course we arrived 4 minutes after the sun went down, but the view was very great up there, so we didn’t go for anything. After we found out that all the best barbecues were closed this night because of the memorial day, we decided to go buy some essentials (insecticide, sun cream…) at Walmart. Then we went to kill some In N Out (very good burger place), after the dinner we went to the famous 6 th avenue, a lot of people told me it was the place to be at night in Austin but To be honest I  didn’t like it, to much tourists, loud music, crowded street… It’s not what …

Where to eat in Montreal

Montreal is famous for a few meals like Poutine, smoked meat sandwich and bagels (I thought NYC was famous for bagels but apparently Montreal is also). The first night we had dinner at “Burger Bar” I took an amazing burger with hands cut fries very delicious and it was so nice to eat outside on the balcony ! The day after we went to grab some Poutine at “Reuben’s Dali”, I added brisket on top of mine, it had a better taste than what it looks like but not the best meal of my life! Later in the day we had a gigantic snack, a very good homemade waffle with caramelized banana plus tones of Nutella, it was very yummy! Since we ate too much in the afternoon we just skipped the dinner, but I will tell you the place I wanted to go even though I did not get the chance to try them. Best poutine in Montreal is supposed to be the restaurant “la banquise », to try some Canadian bagels, St Viator has …
